小さな世界

We went gallery hopping in Shinjuku again! The galleries there change their exhibits fairly often so we saw four new exhibits.

We wandered around, and decided to have lunch at a random udon/soba place. I failed miserably at reading the ticket machine, because instead of ordering a mini oyako-don, I did in fact order a mini oyako-don SET. ... I did wonder why my mini donburi cost more than Christian's curry...... xDDDD I wasn't really hungry at all at this point, so I just wanted something small. Instead I ended up with a donburi and a fucking huge serving of piping hot udon T_______T and FIRM udon at that dhjfahgajkdhk I prefer my noodles SOFT~~~ .... XDDDD; ahsdfjkhfajkfhdajs Sooooo I sat there struggling with that for a while. Left the restaurant ninja-style, by handing back the plates and running away xD;;;;;; I hate handing back plates of food where it looks like I haven't even touched it, hahahahah xD;;;

EHEM.

Thennnnnn we randomly decided to go to Disneyland. 8D Yes, because we're awesome like that. I headed off to Shibuya and bought us two After 6 Passports~~~ DISNEYTIEM. xD;;; The After 6 Passport is (of course) cheaper than full day tickets, you can buy one and it'll be valid for a long period (the ones I got today were valid until the 31st), and you don't have to decide on a park when buying the ticket (though the ticket only lets you enter one park, so you still can't park-hop with it).

We decided to go to Disneyland, even though there were rides we hadn't been able to get on the last time we went to Disney Sea. It was kind of weird to get to the park just as it was getting dark, but it also felt quite nice. The sun was setting, the air was getting cooler.... it just made for a really nice evening out! It was really hot out today, about 33~35C (and probably even warmer in direct sunlight xD ) so walking around the park in the dark with a cool breeze to ruffle my hair felt awesome.

The park closes at 10PM, so time and planning (and a bit of luck?) is of the essence if you want to get the most out the After 6 Passport. Fastpassing rides is out of the question, as all the Fastpasses will be gone by the time you get there xD; We knew we wanted to go on the Winnie the Pooh ride, so we went and did that first. 80 minute Standby time xD;;;; yeeeah time passes quickly in the park, wha. The ride was absolutely adorable. It's got so many cute details, and the effects are really well made. So many kids, though xD; It's odd because I remembered the ride as going a lot faster, but I guess I remembered it wrong. Unless they actually adjust the speed and make it more child friendly during summer...? Though I highly doubt that xD;

Unfortunately The Haunted Mansion was closed for renovations today T___T;;; It actually closed on the 24th and will be closed until September 9. @_@! Oh well, at least we got to ride that a lot during our last visit! :D Yay. I wonder if they're changing stuff on the ride or if they're just doing a bit of a cosmetic touch-up :O

We rode It's A Small World (there never seems to be a line for this one, so it's an easy ride to get on and enjoy xD), and I noticed lots of little details I've never seen before. Whut?~~~ xDDD Awesome.

Thennnnnn we went and experienced Captain EO. RETRO-FANTASTIC OMG LOL. It's cheesy as all hell, but worth it for the adorable retro feeling it brings. Captain EO is a 3D film experience made for Disneyland back in 1987. It stars Michael Jackson and Anjelica Huston, is written/produced by George Lucas, and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The attraction was taken down in 1997 when it was replaced by Honey I Shrunk the Audience. But now, following MJ's death, Disney decided to put Captain EO back on as their tribute to him. Hahahahaha. Weird to have the original attraction replace the one that replaced it 8D
Anyway, this attraction just makes you go; "Awww the 80s ♥" :DDD Before being let into the theatre we were shown behind the scenes clips from when the film was made. xD; The film itself.... I don't know xD; At least they hadn't dubbed it for the Japanese audience. The physical effects really surprised me. I knew it was a 3D film (yay dorky glasses!), but I had no idea the whole theatre would move about. There were also extra light effects, and a spray of water ;D I'll forever remember this attraction as the film that makes everyone rock out to MJ whether they want to or not. The seats move with the rhythm, so you can't help it. You're stuck there digging the music xD;;;;
I don't think I would have gotten in line for this if it'd been a permanent ride, but they're most likely taking it down next year so.. yeah. I felt I had to give it a go now since I had a chance. It being a classic Disney ride and all.

We walked by Pirates and there was no line at all, so we quickly jumped on that as well. We were seated at the very front of the boat this time, which is a first for me and I don't know if it was because of that or not, but the ride felt a lot darker and scarier this time around @__@;; Even more so than last time when I also had the same feeling. The cannon ball fight room is absolutely epic. It's huuuuuuge omg.

We caught a bit of a show called Midsummer Night's Panic, and it was amazing. Water spurting out from the Cinderella castle @_@;;;! Whuuut. Looked wild. There were flames and some fireworks as well! :D Yay. Christian filmed a bit of it with his iPhone, but I don't know how well it came out.

We also had time to eat churros, soy sauce and butter flavoured popcorn, and hot dogs xD;;;; All in all an extremely successful visit to Disneyland.

(notice the cute little Disney frames, omg~~~ Cheki ;____;!!! I love my Cheki~~~ need to buy tons of film to bring back to Norway T____T!!!!)

This picture of us waiting to be let into the Captain EO theatre is now my all time favourite picture of Christian and me. Omg. xDDD
