Figure Skating Babble Lol
So figure skating is over ._. We have the exhibition gala coming up, but the competition is over. The ladies' free skating turned into quite a thriller at the end there, wow! I could barely watch Asada do her routine, I just felt so bad for her D: Thinking about all the pressure she was under, and then she stumbled, and I knew she didn't have a shot at the gold :/ I really wanted her to win~ That said, Kim Yu-Na clearly was in a league all of her own last night, holy shit. Mind blown. EVEN THOUGH ASADA DID DO TWO TRIPLE AXELS *channels Plushenko XDDD*! (first female skater ever to do that in competition T_T!!)! Kim was just so... graceful. Caught a re-run of her program this morning, and it sent chills down my spine. Even though I just saw it last night! Haha.
The people over at #figureskating on twitter were a lot of fun to hang out with last night :D A lot of Japanese people ended up following me for some reason xD; And I was even asked by one of them if I was a Japanese teacher! Whaaa ;_;! That made me really happy somehow ^^;
I would share my notes from the ladies' short program and free skating, but they're pretty much a huge blob of "CUTE, GORGEOUS, OMG ♥_♥!!!!" sooooo... XD;; I'll do a picpsam to show the pretties instead~
Uugh I really wish Vancouver2010 had more pictures available on their websites! I find it absolutely ridiculous that they don't upload pictures of all the skaters/at least one picture from each routine .___.
She ended up in 9th place, but oh my god. I love this girl's style! She's so adorable, and such gorgeous eyes! *o*

She completely won me over with her dorky smile and equally dorky short program XD She skated to some traditional Russian folk music, the Swedish commentators said that she hated the music at first, but came to love it... and it shows, haha. She fooled around so much during her SP. Oooh her official site has video! Sorry for cruddy quality, but this is worth watching. For all the happy squee ^_____^ 1:42 is my favourite moment, ahahha. 2:25~ is pretty great too 8] She's so awesome~

I would love to do this for all the girls I liked, but IT WOULD TAKE FOREVER. Kiira Korpi, my northern neighbour, deserves a post all of her own. She's out of this world beautiful <,<;;; and the Georgian skater was also something quite special.. EXCEPT I COULDN'T STOP STARING AT HER BOOBS T___T;;;.

... yes fun was had. Ehem. Asada's free skate was a bit unfortunate... in the choice of music and costume, I mean. Coming out right after Kim, she just came across as a villain, out to steal Kim's gold XDDD;;; IT WAS SO DRAMATIC ♥ And I'm really glad Joannie Rochette got the bronze, even though I think Mirai had a better free skate routine (and skated better) :X ah well.
