So it turns out that Translation II is just Translation now. They've cancelled Translation I which (logically enough) used to be a prerequisite to Translation II. Aaah, UiO, why do you keep doing this? Ah well, no matter. So now I'll have to go through a bit of repetition from Translation I as the students who never went through the prerequisite also need the basics in order to move on. It shouldn't be too bothersome, but I was looking forward to tackling more challenging texts right from the get-go.
My teacher this time around is a whole lot friendlier and easier to deal with than my teacher in Translation I, so yay. I am happy. Also pleased to see some familiar faces in my class. Will make it easier for me to actually participate in class... not to mention finding someone to work with for the group project :D

I think I might post my translations on LJ to (hopefully xD) get some input from native English speakers. Because turning random Norwegian texts into idiomatic English can be extremely tricky. I find it easier to work out language kinks if I've got someone to discuss the problems with :) My English can be very odd at times, so I don't trust myself to get things right XD I'm only following this one subject this spring, which means I've got all the time in the world to do the homework and obligatory assignments. So why not be thorough, hm? :P Always good to get my mistakes pointed out to me before showing up for class~

I've had enough of winter. My body is shutting down and keeps telling me to sleep. WInter hibernation for humans, pls~~~ I've slept so much these last couple of days, it's almost embarrassing. I nap like three times a day, and get like eight hours of sleep at night @_@; And I keep having extremely vivid dreams. This morning I dreamt kurisu came to visit, and was killed in an avalanche :(
