This is the best cinema experience I've had in... forever. It was probably helped along some by watching it at Oslo's shabbiest cinema ever, but still. I can imagine this being pretty great even if you don't have a shabby cinema to watch it at (a nice and clean one will do just fine 8D).
I didn't think this was going to be anything special. I thought it would be an amusing "scary" movie at best, and complete rubbish at worst. Boy was I ever surprised.
You need to see this at the cinema! Even if you are squeamish and never really go see scary films, do yourself a favour and go see this one. You'll laugh and scream and jump~ it's like a ride! :D I had so much fun, and so did everyone else who went and saw it last night. It's packed with humour, the musical score is memorable (I hummed it on the way home afterwards), there are plenty of non-cheesy jump-scare moments, clever build up, and surprising takes on scary movie clichés.
I know the whole opening sequence to the film makes it seem like the stupidest film ever, but get through the intro and then forget about it. The intro doesn't matter. What comes next is so, so, so much better ♥
