Ahahha, these last couple of days have been amazing.
Today was.. spectacular. I'm so extremely tired but oh so happy that I decided to go to Tokyo today. Me and Zin devoted our entire day to Harajuku. It's my second Sunday there and omgz. I'm tempted to go there every Sunday T_T; It's so awesome.
We went to Yoyogi park, where (for those who don't know), bands set up and give free concerts all day long on Sundays. I didn't quite know what to expect, but I think that I expected the bands to be more amateurish. They all seemed so professional! And they were really good O_O; And they all had cds for sale or other merchandise and.. wow. Yesh. I really liked it there.

Bands and people and music, oh my!
Lots of people and lots of music
First band we really stopped and listened to were
2HT. We stayed out their set, danced along, followed the dance instructions given by the singer (he was so happy when we danced along XDDDD). We were offered free tickets to a concert they're doing on the 11th, but ehem. 11th is on a Thursday so that's a big no can do for us. Unfortunately :(
2HT in action
Then we stopped by a band called
LOOVEE. They had a huge set up. There were 8 people in the band. We watched them do their sound checks and then we watched their first performance of the day. The singer was actively trying to get us to dance along, but it was very embarrassing xD Then we mimicked his hand movements during the chorus of one of the songs, and he directed all his attention to us for the rest of the song. Laaawl! XDD;;;; I found it really awkward partly because we stood closest to the stage of all the spectators (everyone else stood 4~5 meters behind us, for some reason xD) and partly because on the other side of the spectator-circle from us, stood a group of girls who knew all of their songs by heart and danced along and stuff....~
After the mini-concert, the male vocalist came up and made us sign a survey thingie. It was all in Japanese, but HAH. Skills and knowledge made us able to fill it out. We handed them in, and they obviously didn't think we'd really sign them, because they went all "O__O!!!" when they saw that we'd filled them out in Japanese and stuffu~~~ Fuuuun. Then we talked with the female singer and lead guitarist for a while. Wheeeee~ AND WHEN I CAME BACK HOME, I RECEIVED AN E-MAIL FROM SAID GUITARIST. xDDD He thanked me for my nice comment and informed me that they always play at the same spot every Sunday as long as it doesn't rain. He really hopes I'll come back XD Awww. I know it's only promotion and stuff, but I think it's really awesome that they take time to sit down and reply to all the comments they receive after the concerts o_o;! It was personalized, because he quoted my comment in the e-mail~ xD Yays. I think I will go back to see them next Sunday. We were planning on going back to them later during the day today, but we didn't have time. They were selling signed cds and uhm. I'm tempted to get one now. I hope they will sell them next time as well ^_^! Whee.

After Yoyogi we walked back to Harajuku station. We were supposed to meet a friend of Zin's there, but lack of mobile phones made that difficult. We never met up with her. We went by the shrine (which I've already visited once before). They were setting up for a Noh play, though so... o_o; It wasn't as pretty as it could have been to walk around there xD;
On our way in to the shrine

Setting up for the Noh play
Apparently all the tickets were already sold out.
A picture I took of the shrine the last time I was there
Huge taiko! Whaaa~~
Again, from the last time I was there ^^;
You can buy a tablet for ¥500 and write your wishes on it. You hang it up and your wish will be fulfilled~~~... or something along those lines. It was tempting, but I couldn't think of anything to write T_T; Soooo... maybe next time? 8D
We went back to the walkway bridge next to Harajuku station and looked at all the weirdly dressed people. Such a great atmosphere~
First the pictures I took there last time, because I haven't posted them yet!
I was scared and jet-laged. I didn't dare go up to anyone and ask to have my picture taken with them like I did today xD
Rockabillies rock. XD
Yes, those are live goldfish hanging from his ears.
Then we got food and browsed random shops. I got so tiiiiired.
We walked up and down this street so many times, wtf. XD We suck at figuring out what to do once we've been to places that we know where are xD
KIDDY LAND is one of the coolest shops I've been to in Japan so far. 6 floors of random toys, games and cute stuff ♥
Zin thought the stuffed toy was ugly, so she wanted a picture of it xD
It's totally staring at my boobs XDDDDD
A guy fell asleep on my shoulder on the train home XD Lawl. So awkward. What are you supposed to do when that happens, exactly? xD OH and at Kashiwa station, a guy came up to me and went "Hey DOLL. How you doin'?" XDDDD It was hilarious. I didn't reply and he asked me if I spoke English, I didn't reply again and then he just walked away. Whooo go my ignoring skills! XDDD
Taken on the train home~ awwww
