He would never forget that Tuesday. It was 3am when their son made his first appearance in the world. Minutes later Jasper was holding the crying babe in his arms trying to sooth him. Jasper smiled down at Seth as he sat on the edge of the bed.
“We have a son Seth,” he said before kissing Seth gently on the lips. Being very careful he passed the baby into Seth’s waiting arms.
Seth brushed the blanket Esme had wrapped the baby in back so that he could see the little face. He smiled and kissed the little forehead. “He’s beautiful.”
“What do we name him?” Jasper questioned.
“How about… Adam?” Seth suggested. The baby gave a cry and wiggled in Seth’s grasp.
“I don’t think he likes that. Jesse?” The baby continued to cry.
“No. Shhh… Luka,” Seth soothed. The baby stopped crying and looked up at him. “Luka.” Saying it again got him a smile.
“I think we have a name. Luka Whitlock,” Jasper mused.
