(no subject)
Argh just realised I did it again and didn't post for ages! Ah well. I start uni a week on Saturday!!I'm getting rather scared now...but hopefully I'll be alright when I get there. I feel ready for a change of scenery now to be honest. Today I cooked some soup from a student cookbook my mum bought me the other day, it didn't turn out too badly really!
Yesterday I got back from my sisters. She lives in Wakefield. While I was there we did some volunterring with the Wildlife Trust. I didn't know what to expect but it was quite fun really. On Tuesday we had to go up ladders and clean out nest boxes...some of them had unhatched bluetit eggs inside! On Wednesday we went and helped mow a really overgrown meadow. A man with a machine cut all the grass and we had pitchforks and had had to move all the cut grass. It was hard work!While I was there we also went to the Armouries in Leeds and watched a tudor riding show with Jonathan and Joseph (Kitty's kinda step-kids). The lifts at the armouries are see through though, and my sister had an attack of vertigo when we were on the 5th floor or something, and wouuldn't go in the lift or down the stairs, so they had to take her down in the goods lift! I know it's not funny really, but it made me laugh :-) she went up a ladder when we were looking at bird's nests though.
Can't think of anything else to write at the minute...oh yeah Leeds festival was amazing! Apart from one of the tent poles in the tent broke when we were putting it up so we had to use string...which lasted ok until the last night when it rained and the tent slowly collapsed around us. Haha. My favourite bands I saw were probably Maximo Park, the Long Blondes, Feeder and the Fratellis. I also met this person I know called Jonny there, and a girl I know vaguely from school called Harriet who is Sankey's next door neighbour. So yeah, it was fun.
I went to a show last Thursday with Crafty, but it didn't go very well cos he was terrified of everything, so we didn't get placed or anything. There was a photographer there though, so there are some funny pictures of crafty spooking at everything!
