AWA picture preview and stuff
So I really enjoyed myself this AWA weekend!
All our Strawberry Panic girls looked adorable! And the costumes were super comfy. I was worried about my wig since its so heavy. But I sewed a comb into the front of it and that made it pretty easy to wear.
I also checked out JapanFest Saturday with micarei ,
hongkong_phooey , and
shibamura_prime where we saw some awesome Taiko performers.
After we got back to the con from that and I changed Silas took some Esmeralda pictures for me.
Later after the freaking awesome happy hour at the hotel was over Silas, Cliff, Ashley, and I caught the tail end of the cosplay contest. I'm so proud of koneko and london2191 for winning their awards! I know they put a lot of hard work into their costumes and they looked fantastic.
And I feel like the panels I hosted over the weekend went pretty well. aleathiaburns was a great copanelist for our Cosplay and Body Image panel we ran this afternoon.
Then today after leaving the con Ashley, Meredith, and I headed over to Brio to surprise ravenmist7 for her birthday! That was a really nice wind down from the con.
And now for a while I don't have much going on con/cosplay wise. There will be Anime South in December. And I need to finish the Four scarf for that. But between not havng many events to go to and not being able to really afford much at all in the way of new costumes I think the whole convention/cosplay scene will be pretty low key for me for a while. At least that should help give me the opportunity to really concentrate on school more.

The sandwiches were slices of strawberry, kiwi, and mango sandwiched between blueberry bread spread with cream cheese mixed with honey.
