Anime South was a nice little con. The drive kind of sucks but it is so pretty down there. Though I'm still sad I didn't even set foot on the beach the entire time. How did I miss the fact that Anime South was in Destin? That's maybe 30 minutes from where I live now! Glad you seemed to enjoy the con.

We live in Navarre. If you took US 98 and headed towards Gulf Breeze/Pensacola you would come straight past my house. I may have to look into it. And oh the possibilities for Gavin to cosplay!

Thanks! I found I like Irukuku's design even more as actual garments, lol teacher! And we should definitely do a shoot with these again sometime.

Yeah I heard about Anime South from you and some friends in FL. Seems some of them headed that way over the weekend so I wasn't able to see them this trip. This weekend was a family trip.
Looks like you had fun! Can't wait to see more photos.

Crazy isn't it?!? But it was actually his idea. He loves Venture Bros and started talking about wanting to cosplay Brock. So I just jumped all over that opportunity. Before I was kind of thinking about making Dr. Mrs. The Monarch sometime. But I was totally willing to switch to Molotov. I was not going to pass up what may be my one opportunity for couple cosplay, lol. And I think John actually had fun cosplaying Brock. For a small con we had a lot of people stop to take our picture. And it seemed to me that more people were actually excited about seeing him cosplay Brock than seeing me cosplay Molotov. So that had to be fun for him too.

Yeah, I was reading about you heading out to Florida. I figured it was to a different area for different things though. Too bad for me it wasn't to Destin because it would have been fun to see you. ~_^

These pictures remind me that I totally forgot to tell John how skinny he looks! Will you relay that to him for me? I'm sure it will make him happy. Your couple cosplay gave me MUCH JOY. <3 You also looked adorably fabulous in your ZnT cosplay. Any chance of bringing it to Momocon, since Mer wants to do the group there?

I don't know about you as this post is soooomewhat ambiguous, but I love me some Anime South. Diana, Nathan, and I decided that this con is most definitely a keeper. Two years of epic good times was enough to make that decision- and maybe next year, we'll get to actually COSPLAY a little bit more. lol I think it was a GREAT start to the con season in 2009, so thank you so much for coming and adding to the epic. <3 When I see Cliff (hopefully) tonight (as in Monday night), I'm going to tell him that you all said we need to visit Atlanta sometime soon. Momocon? Momocon? Fuck Momocon. Sorry but you guys don't seem to have picked up how angry that con has made Silas and I over the years. I would certainly do a shoot elsewhere though. There's even apparently some nature park up here in Dunwoody, like down the street from where I live ( ... )

Yeah, echoing the "Fuck Momocon" statement here. They're all very nice people I'm sure, but not getting their shit together for three years straight is where I draw the line.

But yeah, I'd love to come up "just because," even if I'm playing camera monkey for part of it. Doesn't hurt to have my name connected to big time cosplayers, now does it? ^_~

That and it's a great excuse to hang out in Atlanta. You know I'm always game.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. I knew you hated Momo, but thought you'd make an appearance again to get cosplay photos like last year. Well, I won't force anything on ya since I know that I'll still definitely hang out with you all when I come, whether you go to the con or not. And I am TOTALLY up for a cosplay photoshoot- just name the weekend!

I think Anime South is awesome for me because I actually get to enjoy the company of my friends rather than just seeing them briefly and then running off to go do whatever I have to do with Diana. Judging and getting there later probably killed that for you. But I agree that AS definitely doesn't leave that edge of annoyance that most anime cons do these days.

I told Cliff that we needed to visit ATL more at everyone's request, and he said "I'd be up for that!," so it's looking good! After AUSAM-Con's over and I get into the swing of school, I'll start pushing him to free up a weekend for a visit. Do you know of any weekends offhand that would be bad for it?
