(thanks to those who replied to my previous entries, i read all comments by the way, and while i did not reply yet -- which i will soon -- i really did appreciate all your kind words. thank you.)
hello,
i've been doing a lot of things ... mostly staying away from the computer! no brainer there eh, hahah :-) but i've been learning new pieces and striving to play more expressively on the piano and reading a whole lot of novels. i can't say i discovered gems among the ones i chose to read, but the one i picked up today certainly is! PRIDE AND PREJUDICE! it's funny. i watched the movie, bought the piano book, own the soundtrack CD (thanks sheda! :-D)... even started reading sense and sensibility at one point and yet i never read the actual book! :(
anyway... graduation ..
graduation was ... memorable -- it rained!! we were all outside, cheering and smiling, not at all sad we will never return back as students ... whether we wanted to be strong in the faces of our classmates and teachers one last time or we were just happy to move on from this part of our lives ... we all had this impenetrable relief and this air of happiness ...
the school held the ceremony in the school fields, surrounded by walls of evergreen trees (i will miss these trees ... during the fall, they turn into every imaginable shade of the warmest colors that reminds one of apples and spices and the incoming winter chills and rosy cheeks) ... and as the ceremony carried on, thick rolls of gray clouds unveiled across the sky and ... it rained. we were all soaking wet and we had only finished the speeches and were beginning to receive our diplomas. it caused quite a stir... when it was my turn i nearly forgot which way to go once i got off the stage...
it was still raining heavily by the time we became graduates, and although i was soaking wet, i didn't so much mind. my brother's fiancee bought me a really beautiful bouquet of orange roses and tiny wildflowers smothered in silver glitter. whether she is aware of my abnormal obsession with glitter (or just shiny things in general) or not, i really loved it!!!
and then there it was. above us. in a space in the sky where no clouds touched, a rainbow. a tiny one.
i was able to get my art teacher and computer teacher hugs for the last time.
various artist trading cards -- thanks to those who traded with me! i loved your cards very much!
i hope to collect tons of cards and be able to put them in a box to come back to over and over
