Wedding tag?
No, I'm not engaged. Not yet anyway. Last week, however, Austin and I decided that we want to get married. He already calls me his wife, I call him my husband (sometimes anyway, I'm still wrapping my head around it). And we've looked around online at rings. (I think we are going to go look at rings IRL next weekend.)
I'm so so so incredibly happy right now. I wish we could do it this year, but with grad school, we pretty much have to put things like that on hold for a hot minute.
I've told my parents. And some of my family. They are excited and happy for me. Austin keeps insisting we should elope. I don't really want to elope. I want to have a small ceremony, nothing big and crazy. But we've got some time to figure it all out. And if we do "elope" it will likely be more of a small destination wedding, close enough that my family can be there.
I feel a little silly telling people at this point because it's not actually an engagement. But I'm too happy to keep it all in.
Also, grad school, even if it is only 2 weeks in, is amazing. And so so happy-making. I'm overwhelmed with the work load but that's how it's supposed to be right? :)
