[FIC] A Million Miles (Ohno Satoshi/Sakurai Sho, PG-13, 1/1)

Jun 29, 2009 16:43

Title: A Million Miles
Group/Pairing: Ohno Satoshi x Sakurai Sho [Arashi]
Prompt: 45. Miles
Word Count: 605
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Grown adults were not supposed to feel like this and Sho’s onto his tricks.

Disclaimer: I do not know any of these people and by no means do I intend to disrespect, slander, or imply anything about them. While it’s true they have an unusual fondness for rainbows that seems somewhat suspicious, I have no proof. This is merely fictional fun to appease my desire that the rainbows did mean something because how cute are these boys holding hands/kissing/making rabu rabu faces at each other?

Author’s Note: Both of my fics so far as a little down, which isn’t very usual for me, I guess. Next one should be more upbeat (and possibly longer). This is still very new so all feedback is appreciated. Thanks to anyone for reading.

Satoshi couldn’t bear to watch-had to turn his face away because his stomach was already churning. He didn’t want to cry; it wasn’t rational to cry. Grown adults didn’t cry over things like this and Satoshi, no matter what MatsuJun or Nino sometimes suggested, was a grown adult. You cried when Aiba went to the hospital or Nino announced that being in LA for his big Hollywood film made him wonder what his place in Arashi really was. Those were things perfectly worthy of tears. This wasn’t even close to being like one of those things, except that it gave Satoshi the feeling that someone had just torn off his arm and shoved it in a trash compactor or something.

He watched the curves of Sho’s face instead-eyes purposefully strayed from his hand and that bag on the bed full of evil (Sho’s clothes) and the task at hand. His eyes trailed the planes of Sho’s cheeks, the curve of his nose, his lips set tighter than usual. The urge struck to reach a hand out and trace the path with his fingertips-over the bridge of Sho’s nose, the curve of his upper lip, trace the shell of his ear down to the lobe and just assure himself that it would all still be there in a few weeks, but Satoshi knew well enough to keep his hands to himself when Sho was busy and concentrating, and he didn’t really want to be a bother or overreact and make Sho think he’d become obsessed or codependent or something.

“Why are you staring at me?” said Sho.

Ohno feigned lost. “Huh?”

“You can’t play stupid with me.” Sho smiled. “What’s wrong?”

Satoshi frowned. “I’m going to miss you.”

“It’s only a week. The only reason I’m staying overnight is...”

“I know. Early set times. Late hours.”

“I’ll be back for Shukudai-kun.”

“The bed already seems bigger without you.”

“You’re making that up.”

“No, I’m not. It really seems that way.”

Sho glanced at the bed, smiled, and left his suitcase to cross the room. He kneeled before Satoshi, placed his palms against Ohno’s knees, and leaned up to capture his lips in a kiss.

“We’ll be fine. Normal people can do this and so can we.”

“It’s going to be unbearable,” said Satoshi. Sho’s smile slipped away.

“I know, but I’ll be back in a few days. And I won’t even be that far away.”

“Call me when you can.”

“I will.” Sho stood, returned to his suitcase, and closed it up. “I already asked the guys to check in on you to make sure you’re eating and everything...”

“I can take care of myself.”

“Don’t pout. You need to eat. You’re too thin as is...”

“I’m not too thin...”

“And you tend to forget to eat when you’re depressed. Keep your energy up. I’m going to expend it all when I get back.”

Satoshi raised his eyebrows and despite everything, a smile crept onto his lips. “Is that a promise?”

“I’m going to want you so bad I won’t be able to help it.”

“Okay.”

Sho laughed a little, grabbed his suitcase, and stopped to kiss him again. “The promise of sex always cheers you up, pervert.”

“I’m a simple man,” Satoshi agreed.

Sho grinned. “Be a good boy while I’m gone.”

And then he was, and Satoshi already missed him five minutes after he was out of sight. He knew it was only a few days and they weren’t that far apart, but as far as Satoshi was concerned he was a million miles away and all he could do was wait.

Next fic will be more upbeat and smexy, I hope. ^_^
