"Thanks for the memories~"

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
The copy I originally read (and still have) was the American version, The Sorcerer's Stone. I have no idea why this is, as the first 4 books in the series were my sister's and every book after the first one is the Canadian version. This is the one I remember least I as I started reading them when I was in grade 5 or 6 (1999/2000) and I don't have the best memory, but I remember reading the part where they reveal it was Quirrell the whole time and I was like Harry in the movie "But, Snape. He- He was the one..." I was shocked. At that point Snape was one of those characters I loved to hate (plus, I think Alan Rickman made this character a lot more enjoyable), so to hear that this character who looked at Harry with such malice wasn't the bad guy *AND* he tried to save Harry, floored me. I think if the books had made it more obvious what was going on I wouldn't like it as much and I don't think they would be as popular as they are. Anyways the next two are where it gets confusing.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Okay, I might be wrong about this, but I think I read PoA before CoS. So I read Prisoner of Azkaban again (after reading Chamber of Secrets), which is probably why I can't recall my first thoughts about this book. Which is a little sad. [oooh remember now finding the parts at the Dursley's absolutely hilarious, what with Ron trying to use the telephone and Harry blowing up Aunt Marge, heh-heh classic]

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Reasons for thinking I read PoA before CoS include being confused as to why Sirius wasn't writing in the Chamber of Secrets, therefore why doesn't he do anything about Harry being locked up? Also wondered WHY SCABBERS WAS THERE D8
My poor young mind was so confused by those points until I finished the book then looked up what the next one was, finally realizing I read them out of order *facepalm*

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
The final book I read before buying each subsequent copy the day it came out. This was my favourite book of the series at the time mainly cause it was the biggest (in terms of it's size and the size of the world it was starting to create). This was where stuff started to get REAL.

[gonna have to cut this short as I need to get ready for work, hopefully I will remember to continue this tonight >.>]
