Notes: Feel free to run into Martha anywhere you want too. She's gonna end up eventually back at the flat she's been assigned, so make up places where you want to have had run into her.
The boarding house was gone, and in the bag that she was lugging about, she had some medical supplies and the DVD that she'd been given. The DVD that was pretty much the time of her life when she'd travelled with the Doctor, divided into thirteen neat little episodes. She'd read the blurbs about each one, and it made her cringe a bit.
She'd been aware of it since not long after she'd arrived aboard the Barge, but for a woman who loved movies to actually have a copy of the movie in her hands? Well, that was something else entirely. It had seemed funny before, but now with the promise of commentary by the actors who played herself, the Doctor and Jack? She was very glad that she hadn't seen a DVD player anywhere around.
Pausing, Martha looked at the key in her hand. The boarding house had become a familiar staple; it was home now and then suddenly it was gone. The fact that it was gone was a bit of a rip in the gut and even worse was the fact that what had replaced it was the complete unknown. There was no place in town that could house all of them together, so it had to be that there were different houses. Hopefully that meant that the nature of the town was going to become much less fluid.
But for now it was a craps shoot, and Martha wandered, holding her keep and blinking into the sun of a new day in Peaksville.
