Those of you who know me well probably know that I'm not really one for political stuff. I'm honestly a little surprised by this myself.^^'' If you're wondering what caused the change, the answer would be the protests, riots, and demonstrations over last week's presidential election in Iran. I don't watch a lot of TV, or read the paper much anymore, but the media really hasn't been giving this proper cover. I don't think I can fully or properly explain things, so I'll direct you over
here.
I think a big part of the reason why this as gotten my interest/support is, well, it's big and important for one thing (I've heard/read people saying that this could be the beginning of a full scale revolution for Iran, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're right), but more than that, most of the protesters are students like me. Universities have been shut down, dorms have been raided, there are even professors resigning in protest of student deaths. Also, if the fact that most updates, photos, videos, etc. are getting out through Twitter isn't a sign of the times,
I don't know what is.
And despite all the terrible things that have been happening the past few days, this is pretty freaking cool:

Apparently French media puts the number of people at the demonstration somewhere around 2 million.
I also like what BlackLillian on deviantART said about this. "I just ask that we all watch. You want V for Vendetta? This is it, folks. This is the real deal. It's not nearly as glamorous as dominoes and Red Carsons, but it's real, and the courage of the Iranian people should not go unnoticed."
I'm trying to think of something else to say, but having just gotten out of a 5 hour math class, my brain apparently doesn't want to function. >.>
