So I went onto Etsy: Alchemy to ask if anyone could make stamps for me. Then, on a whim, I posted another one asking if anyone would be willing to make a TOS Romulan uniform for Andy.
So many people are willing to do this. I'm getting all these bids, from people of various skill levels (from worrisome to awesome) and with various price ranges (eyebrow-raising cheap to pricey, but reasonable). They're all sure that they can do it fairly accurately, and they're all nice.
So now I'm in a weird position. What is the etiquette for choosing who to go with? The most experienced? The cheapest? The one most familiar with Trek? And what's the etiquette for telling others "thanks, but no thanks, found someone better than you?"
Seriously, there's a girl who offered to do the stamps, and she sounds adorable, and this would be her first time ever making stamps for someone else (she's only done them out of erasers for herself up until now). But... I want nice stamps, since they might be used on my invitations.
I'm too much of a softy for this. What was I thinking?
