Liners & Brushes

I finally got a new point & shoot! Actually, I wanted to wait for the launch of the Lumix TZ27, but I figured I might need to wait until April, so I went ahead and got the TZ15 that I've been eyeing for awhile. Compared to most of my girlfriends, I'm considered quite a computer/gadget freak. I don't know how I deal with so many loves. Makeup/skincare, cooking/baking, internet/gadgets and Y., it's pretty crazy. Anyway, I haven't figured out some of the functions and settings of this cam, but I can't wait to take pics of my recent purchases/swap!

First of all, my swap with a lovely MUA-er! I swapped some of my everyday minerals backup brushes with her new Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Indigo Ink. And she's so sweet to throw in extras such as the BB mini eyeliner brush and mascara for me!

Yea, more gel liners. So after my first bad experience with CS gel liners, I was unconvinced and got two more to try. I'm glad to say that the first CS gel liner I got was a lousy dried-up batch. These two are creamy, doesn't flake or smudge. I also bought a MAC Fluidline in Blue Peep since I don't have a gel liner in a similar shade. I can't believe they still have this. I'm kinda afraid that it'll be dried-up, but its actually not! Amazing. They also have the LE Iris Eyes and Non-Conformist Fluidline left in Vivo, but I didn't get them coz I have a few purple gel liners already.

More eyeliners and brushes! These ELF waterproof eyeliner pens are great! They are really smudge-proof and you can draw a really thin line with them. I also got more ELF studio brushes, and I really like these. The Small Angled brush is better than any CS or crown brushes I've tried. The Small Smudge and Precision brushes are firm, but not scratchy. I also got the expensive limited edition MAC 226 brush after watching EnKore's video. I needed a blending brush, and I was deciding between 222, 224 and 226. His video convinced me that I should get the 226 and I didn't regret it! I wanted to get the 165 brush too, but I was reconsidering it after finding out the price. I think I'm eventually getting all the brushes from the BBR collection. Will be taking my time for 214 though, since its perm.

I can't believe that these $1 eyeliners actually work! I can't stop raving about them. I'm waiting for black to arrive now. Maybe I should get one of each color as backups, lol.

Like I said, this batch of CS liners is great! Nice to know that its not a waste of money again. BB's Indigo Ink looks so dark in person, I think it can pass off as black or a very dark navy blue. Nice shade to have if you don't want to always wear black, but if you already own a gel liner in black, I don't see this as a must-have unless you enjoy collecting gel liners like I do :p

Here are all three CS gel liners I have. I rubbed all three swatches and Indigo Blue (on the right) is the only one that smudged. It's also not really usable anymore since it has dried up in the pot and I had to spray some fix+ on it. I don't know if I'd get anymore CS liners. Their quality is inconsistent, and its like a matter of luck, which I'm not exactly comfortable with.

I wanted to get the Blonde and Redhead MSF, and the Flip eye shadow but they are all OOS. I added up the stuff I wanted from the latest MAC collections, including Hello Kitty and it's way off my budget. So now, my 15-pan MAC neutral palette is on an indefinite hiatus. I'm cutting back on hauls and sprees too :(

xoxo,
Teal
