Well Son of A BITCH!
OK, Too many positive posts in a row, time for things to change a little!
Tis the season... to go to court. My old landlord is trying to charge us over $250 for repainting of the premises. Claims "Its in your contract, you were supposed to maintain the walls".... the walls were fine. I personally SCRUBBED the bastards until they sparkled. She asked us to leave the keys on the counter when we left, then claims that we did that to spite her. Says she tried to contact me on my mobile for the final inspection so she could walk it through with us.... *cough* a)mobiles show missed calls, and there were NONE. b) She had my mobile, my home, Marnie's home, Marnie's work and NEVER rang a one of them.
SO the bond of $780 is having $120 carpet cleaning (fine), $60 water rates (fine), $22 cleaning (you fucking what?) of the stove tops that she got me back in to clean! and approx $250 of repainting (NOT FREAKING FINE!)... she makes it sound like repainting the place is common practice... sorry, but a few small marks on the walls is NOT stnadard wear and tear. She should have consulted us FIRST.
So yeah... that sum leaves about $330 bond left over... BULLSHIT.
I get to go into the magistrates court now and lodge an application.. I should know how to do it, I used to process them in small claims in the ACT.
Hrmmm... it seems to me that the land lord has forgotten that I used to work in the Residential Tenancy Tribunal.... TODAY she contacts Marnie at work telling her to get things finalised. *shakes head* silly woman.
Ontop of all, I have a job.... for four shifts. I walk around and give kids lollies... thats easy enough, but there is a catch... I have to wear a big red suit and shout "ho ho ho".... I'm santa.
I spread christmas joy while not having any cash of my own, and about to sue another person for money.... merry christmas...
