Progress: 7/50 patches completed. I'm still on schedule, though it was difficult to find time to finish the planned three patches. Some unexpectedly long train travel on Friday allowed me the last bit of time I needed though.
I'm planning to make the byrnie the same way as my previous shirt: make patches and stitch those together into sheets. A goal of three patches a week is attainable, and should allow me to finish within a reasonable timeframe

Today I've started making a byrnie: a celtic-style short-sleeved maille shirt. I'm using 1.1x6.7 mm (18 ga. 1/4") copper-plated steel rings, mostly because we have a crapton of them, and they're not selling at all
