#2. I love me some action. I also love me period movies. If the movie's good in general, I can overlook historical inaccuracy. =D And this movie has some of my favorite lines (and favorite action/fighting scenes). Who DOESN'T love it when the Emperor (play by the magnificent Joaquin Phoenix) demands to know the gladiator's name. Maximus turns around slowly...and, like the badass mother fucker he is, he says:
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius,
Commander of the Armies of the North,
General of the Felix Legions,
