Weekend update or Less Talky talky more bashy bashy
Had a Great weekend heres some Highlights.
Friday night - Finished up some Weaving for the Baronial Gift to Altavia this weekend. Watched a lot of Lie to Me. I dig Tim Roth, and the show is pretty neat. Availiable on Netflix instant veiwer.
Saturday - Woke up at 5, thats right 5 am on a saturday when I should have been snuggled under my covers. Simon and Sam and Ulf showed up shortly after and we loaded my Armor bag and a few things into the truck, then simon looks at me and says "your okay to drive right?" Well after a brief stop at 7/11 for some coffe I was, and we headed out of Vegas. The rest of the Truck was dead asleep by the time we hit Primm. Nothing but road noise and snoring. Eh not to bad though. Was able to hand the steering wheel over in Barstow, though I didnt do any snoozing my self.
Got to the Site for Altavia's Anniversery. Paid for Troll, went over the lysts and were told that we couldnt sign up for lysts if we were not in garb. Which in my opinion is dumb. Im sure there are reasons but I think its dumb. So we hiked back to the truck, threw our garb on, hauled stuff over to a tent that had been set up for us (So thankful for that) and then had to wait for court to be over (We went to court long enough to hand thier Majesties/Highness'/Excelencies their gifts, then made a polite exit). The Tourney was pretty large about 40 fighters I think. 8 rounds in all, Double Elimination. I made it to the Semi Finals. I had a pretty damn good day as far as Im concearned. I had personal victory, my last win was aginst a Knight named Count Francesc (Pronounced Fran-cease) he beat me 2 years ago at this same Tourney, so it was nice to be able to beat him this time around, found out later that both his losses were to guys from Starkhafn. Lost my Last Life in the Semi Finals To Atheniric (The leader of my battle unit) So the Semi Finals had 2 guys from Starkhafn and 1 of us made it to the Finals. Im really ok with it. In the Finals Atheniric Fought against His Grace, Duke Sir Edric and they went 3 rounds with Sir Edric claiming victory.
Fought as many pickups as I could find after I was out of the tourney. fought a couple of knights and some unbelts. All in all I was very happy with my fighting for the day.
About the time we took our Armor off Simon got really sick, he had had a good day up until then. He had been slightly nasueas all day but it hadnt seemd to affect him much (he made it 6 rounds) and fought a bunch of pickups. Poor guy was curled up in the passenger seat of the truck looking like crap the whole ride home. Most of the truck was sleeping or dozing the whole way home (except for me I was driving) We got home at about 12:45 which made for a long day.
Sunday - Local End of Month Tourney. Great weapons only Format. it was an awesome, awesome tourney. I love great weapons more and more as I use them. The Finals were between Me and Fagan the Pure, I won the first round which was fought with Pole Axes, He won the second with 9 foot spears, and I claimed Victory in the 3rd bout with greatswords (I hate greatswords). We had met earlier in the tourney and I had beaten him with a axe blow to the stomach which we found out after the tourney had actually bruised his stomach. Freakin awesome!
Went for tacos with friends after the tourney. Hung out and BS'd in the drama free zone. went home and just relaxed, and went to bed kinda early.
All in all and Awesome weekend.
