Coworker - Joe, my computer is doing this thing where it closes the action im loggin and opening a new one.
Me - Thats because your hitting the button that says "close and open new"
Coworker - No im not. why would I hit that?
Me - Because its right next to the button you should be using to close and complete the call
Coworker - No its not. I use this button over here (indicates wrong button)
Me - why are you using that button. we dont use that for what we do. you should always be using the "save as completed" button
Coworker - well thats the button I have always used.
Me - No its not.
Coworker - Well yes it is!
Me - No its not, thats not the button I trained you to use when you started using the program, and if you WERE using that button it would foul everything up somthin fierce. You have been using the correct button, but more than likely you just didnt get your mouse in just the right spot this last time and thats why you hit "save and new" rather than "save as completed". Happens to me every once in a while too, the buttons are right next to eachother.
Coworker - Oh..... Well I guess I dont have to tell IT about this
See and the thing is she has now started talking to IT about all the "Problems" her computer has and how they are so weird, because no one else has them. And I dont think the IT person she is talking to knows that she is a special case and that most of these problems can be summed up as user error.
Enjoy
