Axel waited nervously for Namine to arrive. He was not really looking forward to pending conversation, but it had to be done. If he ever wanted to talk to her again he knew he had to apologize. He stopped mid-pace and realized how ridiculous it was. He didn't even know when she would get there. There was no point in working himself up. For all he knew, if she had any sense, she wouldn't show at all.
Axel took a short glance around the tiny living room. It was a disaster. He quickly shuffled the pile of clothes by the door into a closet, and tried in vain to pick up all the litter off of the floor. He swept everything from the coffee table into a trashcan. It was cleaner, but still obviously the home of a bachelor. There was nothing else to do, so he sat on the couch, and waited.
