In their advanced English literature seminar at Dartmouth, Edward and Bella Cullen were outwardly composed, prim and proper, Edward taking notes in his copperplate script.
Beyond the reach of human senses, Bella teased her husband.
Edward tried to keep his composure as Bella whispered exactly what she wanted to do to him after class, her voice pitched too low for humans to hear.
When he growled warningly at her, she was demurely quiet.
Then she dropped her mental shield and sent an incandescent image straight into Edward’s brain.
His broken pen spilled ink all over his shirt.
