(no subject)
I went back to work today. I’m on the open up shift so it was the 03:30 drag out of bed. I should say though that I actually feel a hell of a lot better today, so that’s a good thing. I still had a little bit of a runny nose and a cough, but I was didn’t feel lethargic or head coldish so I was pleased…as pleased as you can be getting up at that hour.
I went and did the work thing and that went off without a hitch. It was nice because John came in for V/Line at 10am so I was able to have a chat for the last 2 hours of the shift which makes it go so much quicker.
During my meal break I had to do a bit of running around. I had to take my doctors receipt down to Medicare to get the refund on it, then whisk it down to the bank and put it on my card so that I could order my ticket for Saturdays final. When I got back from my break, I jumped on the internet to try and order the ticket, but the internet was being overloaded and kept timing out, so I thought I’d try calling through.
It took a little while to get through…up until about 12:45 when I was actually finished work and standing around in the city with Kelly waiting for my parents so we could all go to lunch. I had to wait on hold for about 20 minutes and then I was able to order it. The only problem was the ticket price she gave me was a bit more expensive than what I looked it up to be as all the cheap ones had sold out. Given dad was next to me I asked if I could throw it on his card and then pay him back, which was cool.
That ordered we went and had lunch at a little sandwich type bar and had chicken schnitzel wraps and they were really tasty. After we’d eaten we took the train back to mum and dad’s and packed some boxes in the car, got Mia and then went to their storage place to put the stuff in storage, then came back to my place.
When we got to my place we ended up cleaning for a few hours, fixing up the lounge room and kitchen a fair bit and got the house looking all pretty again. We made some steak and vegetables after that for dinner, in which was a nice preview of it going to be nice having cooked meals again when they move in.
Once we’d eaten I rang up and organized for foxtel to come and install another port in what will become my parents room when they move in and they will come out on Thursday. When it was ordered my parents left and I did some dishes, played some GTA for a little bit and then went to bed at about 830. About an hour after I went to bed Ash got home and woke me up to let me know that she got the horrible card I’d drawn for her, as today was our 4 year anniversary. So hooray for us!
