A little bit went on today, but not a great deal.

I woke up this morning with a rediculously sore throat and was feeling a bit iffy in the head, so it was a pretty good sign that I had a cold coming on.

I got out of bed and got dressed. I was taking Ash to work today and then swinging by Connex HQ to pick up some movie tickets I'd won the other day via a work competition. Steve was home from work for the day and he was going to order the Summerslam Pay Per View, so I said I'd watch that with him when I got home.

Drove Ash in to work in some pretty horrible traffic conditions, but got her there alright and then made my way over to Spring St to pick up the tickets, then headed back home.

I missed the first hour of the ppv, but Steve said the first match was the only thing I'd really missed. The rest was trash. Watched the next 2 hours of it and it was ok. The semi-main between Orton and Cena was an average match, but I really liked the way it ended. Orton was starting to lose control so he pushed the ref, then left the ring, grabbed his belt and started going home. The match was restarted (on condition of if he did it again, he'd lose the belt) so they got in the ring and after a couple of seconds he rolled out the ring, grabbed his belt and started going up the ramp getting counted out. Match restarts again and Orton gets a rollup win with his feet on the top rope. A second ref comes down, restarts it again then Cena gets the upperhand. Gets Orton in the STFU and a "fan" runs into the ring and hits the ref. Security drag him out and when everyone gets their bearing back Orton's out of the ring. He slides back in, hits the RKO on Cena and gets the win. It was classic Eddie Guerrero style cheating to win, but it was great.
The main was Jeff Hardy and CM Punk in a TLC match. It was pretty decent. Some great spots in there and Punk got the win.

After that I gave the dogs a shitload of chicken while Steve cooked his own. I played some Mass Effect and then Steve and I started a campaign on hard on Terminator. To exhibit how hard this thing was, in 45 minutes we'd gotten through 2 levels and Steve hasn't played the game before now. I don't think this is going to take too long to finish up. Maybe just the last level where there's a bunch of 600's coming at once with very little cover

I left after the two levels and picked up dad and we took the train into the city for our movie. We stopped off at the Lion in Melbourne Central for some dinner first. Dad had the roast and I got the fish and chips. I think I should of got the roast. His looked really good, but the chips in mine were horrible to go with ok fish.
We chatted for a bit during dinner about moving house and his new speaker plans for his theatre room as well as the cricket and footy before making our way into the cinema to watch our advanced screening of "The Taking Of Pelham 123"

Overall I thought the movie was pretty cool. It's by no means a blockbuster or anything like that but it was a solid watch. I wouldn't mind watching a directors cut on dvd thought to see if a few plot points were filled out better on an extended cut.

We took the train to dads then I drove home and got into bed feeling very ill
