i think i know why it's so hard to leave this place
we've toyed with moving from here basically since we moved in three years ago, but it always ends with us staying put.
it's the beer smell. the fulton pub, god love 'em manufactures beer smell along with their nebraska street bitter (do you live on a street that has a beer named after it? i didn't think so.)
sweet vapors of wheat and hops. too bad it stinks like stale drunk when you get too close.
i miss henry's--now the bridges over the 405 just smell like traffic. which i guess is alright since all i do now is drive under them...which--
best night drive in town: 5 south to 405. over the fremont bridge, under the city, onto the 26 westbound through the vista ridge tunnel. cresting the west hills and learning that it's night in portland, but dusk in the burbs.
we've weeded one of the boxes out front and need to plant stuff...i smell nursery trip this weekend.
