of course i was reading about brothels and the ever-increasing tensions between fundamentalist islamic middle eastern states and their hedonistically secular european counterparts (the problem isn't the brothels, but the flags in the ads for the brothels...global politics are so dumb), but the article did mention the world cup slogan:

"the world is the guest of friends"

can someone please explain what the hell that means?
