I haven't done a post in a while that's actually dealt with my life.
So, yeah.
I went to sleep last night around nine-thirty, exhausted --- and woke up at nine today. Oh, glorious sleep~ how I've missed thee.
It had been a few weeks since I'd gotten a full night's sleep, so it was nice to finally have a free Saturday to sleep in. My family was out for most of the day, doing errands --- so I spent a lot of time doing absolutely nothing.
I cleaned up a bit, then fell asleep again at around 2. Woke up at around 4:30. It's 8:30 now, and for once, I'm not sleepy. (":
I've been reading A Game of Thrones for the past few weeks. And yes, I say weeks because it's taken me that long to get through it. It's not necessarily that it's a large book or anything -- though it is -- it's just that I've been so busy with stuff that I haven't had time to really sit down and read.
I've got maybe a hundred, two hundred pages to go.
It's a really interesting book - a little darker and more adult than I'm used to, though. >>;
My NHS interview is set to be on Monday, with Mrs. Esteban. I haven't started freaking out about it yet, though. I'm hoping I won't freak out at all. D:
Last night, I went to confession, for Lent. I really like my parish's First Friday services. So solemn and comfortable and lovely. :3
...yeah, that's it, actually. Not much going on in my life right now, or at least, not much that I'm comfortable talking about in one of my public entries, so yeah. XD;
This past week was interesting, though --- or at least, the past weekend was. On Friday, I had Darleney, Kevina, and Manuelers over to help with some community service -- and then Kellie-babe and her boyfriend Justin came over a little later on, and we all played Rock Band for a while.
Saturday was Shark Day. That was a great day. :D
Sunday, I went out for Jessica and Dianne's birthday celebration - ate lunch and watched Coraline in 3D at GPO.
Then Monday night, I went out for Angie's birthday at Denny's. That was fun -- there were only five of us; Angie and her boyfriend Bachu, Laiza, Manuel, and me. We had quite some fun. ;D
This weekend is playing out to be pretty boring --- I went to the tennis game at school yesterday, but at around an hour into the game, it started raining, so the games were postponed.
Also, I was supposed to go to Sanchez's mock trial game today, but my mother told me to stay home and catch up on my chores. Meh.
Next week, though, the NHS hopefuls are supposed to help out with the Special Olympics being held at Okkodo. It'll be on the same day as my Senior pictures, though.
Which is, incidentally, also pi day. ;D
I decided yesterday, btw, that I'd try my best to leave high school without any regrets. Or, rather, without any MORE regrets.
So yeah. Let's see where this new mindset takes me.
I did take an extra step today and wrote up The List -- the one I'd been meaning to write up for a few weeks now. I'm hoping it'll help in giving me a little push in doing the whole no-regrets thing.
We'll see. I'm trying to be optimistic and counteract my apparently defeatist attitude. D:
Also, I've decided that, when I'm out of this house and settled, I'ma buy all the seasons of JAG, Pysch, Monk, House, NCIS --- all them lovely USA series. :DDD
I'm graduating in three months, btw. I'm...kinda freaked out. Not necessarily about leaving, but about all the things I'll be leaving behind. )":
I can deal with going to college --- but leaving high school is going to be the difficult part.
I should add that to The List.
12. Do it now, or you'll just be leaving what could have been behind.
I remember doing this exact same thing in Freshman year, except with my Xanga. Ahh, those were the days.
...except I'm so glad they're over. I was such an idiot then. D:
