no air, no air

Well Kuszczak, I hope you realise that you've managed to destroy our treble dreams. It was uncalled for and totally unnecessary, though your red card doesn't mean anything anymore. I won't blame Rio because he actually predicted the penalty pretty well, he was just a little slow. And he's not a goalkeeper after all.

What I would like to know is, in the 75 minutes that I wasn't at home, how did Rooney turn into a centreback and Evra & Vidic into attacking midfielders? Why did we substitute VDS and Tevez off? WHY WASN'T ANYONE DEFENDING WHEN BAROS AND THE OTHER GUY (too pissed to remember his name) CHARGED DOWN OUR EMPTY HALF? WHY?

Can you answer me, Sir Alex Ferguson?

I'm annoyed. The other team didn't play better. We simply played worse. Do we only wake up when faced with imminent disaster? It was only in the last 10 minutes that I saw some feeble effort to score. I'll give Anderson, Rooney and Cristiano credit - they did try, and Anderson came so close. But the rest? What were you doing, Scholes? Carrick? How did you let yourselves get ambushed by the Pompey players? Why did you let the ball be intercepted? WHY WAS THERE NO ONE TO RECEIVE CRISTIANO'S CROSSES? I'm upset.

I prayed so hard in the last 5 minutes. I don't pray unless I'm desperate. I don't even have a Higher Being to pray to. I just hope that someone/something up there will hear me and help me. I guess I wasn't loud enough.

I'm usually on my club's side no matter what. But I'm just so... frustrated. I really do want to see us win a treble at least once in my lifetime. Please.

I wonder how Gary felt, watching from the sidelines? Having to sit the entire season so far out, knowing he can't do anything to help his club? I know how SAF felt - I saw him punching the air, and it wasn't in joy. I wonder how Kuszczak feels.

Am I being too harsh? Maybe. Perhaps I've expected too much. But I just hoped that maybe my wish could come true. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait at least another year before I can dare to hope again.

sorry about that. :( they haven't brought me to tears for the wrong reasons for a long time.

the day went pretty well until this, actually.

RMSS midterm in the morning - urgh. questions were horribly tricky and i don't think i'll be able to do anything more than scrape a pass. :( went to Central with Lix and Ruthie after for lunch at Waraku (haha) and we had the most amusing portions ever. Lix and Ruth decided that they were really hungry and ordered the larger portions for their udon and katsu-don respectively. Lix's bowl turned out to be the size of a... tub. like a small sink. srsly. i took a photo with my phone but i'm too lazy to edit+upload it. heh. Ruth's rice bowl was big, but manageable. i ordered (cleverly) a bowl of rice + miso soup to go with my gyuniku thingy - some beef with egg in a pan over the little fire thingy (okay, i'm really bad at describing things here), so i had just enough to eat. i also shared a serving of u-something maki with Ruth. that was hilarious too. we were expecting like 4-5 pieces of maki, and when the waiter put the plate down there were 8 pieces on it. XD
us: O______________________________O
so we walked out of Waraku EXTREMELY full. @_@

after lunch we did some window shopping at Central, which turned out to be quite boring. we found this shop, L'zzie, which sells some pretty nice tops/long shorts but the prices are slightly urgh, plus they don't stock my size. so too bad. Lix and i hopped over to Orchard (still the best place to shop kthx) and Ruthie went home to sleep before her concert later. after trawling Taka and parts of Wisma for a nice long grey cardigan, we concluded that none of the shops there sold long grey cardigans. i'm serious. it's mind-boggling. i ended up being highly fascinated with semi-formal white tops and bought a nice, slightly boyish-cut one from Pull & Bear. :D i think $34.90 is a pretty good price for a shirt like that. :) Lix thinks i should wear a belt with it so now i have to add "nice belt" to my list of "clothes & accessories i need to get". sigh.

had dinner at Mos Burger with Lix, spent a srsly long time trying to choose the most purple looking gerbera at Taka for Ruth, then headed home to get the car and drove to AC for the alumni band concert. we got there 10 minutes late because the stupid security guard in school refused to let me park in there and i had to go to the Dover HDB carpark instead and waste $2. >_> i parked really badly - exactly on the line. XD but i was in a hurry so i just left it as that and we went off. we missed the Deep Purple medley in the end. boo. :( anyway, the concert was pretty good. i liked the Glenn Miller medley (though Ruth says she's sick of playing it haha) & the Earth, Wind and Fire medley, and the encore was fun. they did some ABBA songs, and the encore's encore was the Doraemon theme song. XD i met Ruth's brother, Timothy there, who recognised me instantly - "OH! I KNOW! YOU'RE BRYAN WEE'S SISTER!". that was a tad scary. Timothy is my brother's classmate and Ruth and i are classmates. yes. nice coincidence. my mother is still very amused by that. O_o

met James at the concert - he was sitting diagonally in front of me. he looked quite shocked to see me there. hello, this was my jc too you know. it felt really strange to be sitting in LT4 and not wearing the sch u. brings back (not-very-pleasant) memories of mass econs lectures and horrible econs tests. oh, and the health talk that the entire level ponned in j1. XD still, i kinda miss AC. and its chicken rice. and its assam pedas + rice. mmm.

dropped Lix off at home and then rushed home to watch Portsmouth kick us out of the FA Cup. >_> on the way home, i got honked at by an evil car. :( oh oh! today i honked at someone out of my own free will! :D *proud* it was at the junction between Gleneagles and the Botanic Gardens. it was MY green light, mind you. the pedestrians' red. i was supposed to go, evidently. but there were these 2 or 3 angmoh kids who thought it would be funny to cycle across while i was trying to drive in the perpendicular direction. THEIR FAULT. no, i didn't knock them down. my right leg was still functioning and i braked hard. i thought they would hurry up and cycle quickly across but no, they were LAUGHING and taking their own sweet time. so i HONKED at the last kid. i was so angry! grr. stupid kids. no, they're not even kids. they looked at least 16. pfght. next time i won't honk so politely. i'll press the horn until you go deaf. >:(
