Tomorrow I leave home after a fairly good, if consumer-driven, six weeks. I enjoyed seeing my high school friends, much more than anticipated actually, but it's time for me to move on, at least in terms of location. why do you have to call off the relationship to meet the hottie? are you that serious already?

Ha ha no we're not that serious. I'm not even 100% sure it's a relationship yet, as I said I'd think it over and make a decision by the time I drive down to Cville (ie tomorrow). From the amount that we've been talking, though, I think we're going to end up together.

Meeting the hottie is one thing, but what if I think we click? I mean we can hang out (we're both law students, and Neil/buffy guy is a grad student, so the law connection makes sense), but I like the idea of keeping my options open, despite not having dated in, well, years.

I think I'm doing this to myself on purpose, because it's one more thing to stress out about.

Neil would be the guy that I am maybe dating. We had a not a date date the other week (see earlier post) and I suppose I've decided that it's worth a shot, despite not being totally attracted to him. He has a good body, and isn't ugly, I just don't feel a "wow" when I look at him. Personality wise we are an amazing match though - we share the same neuroses!!!

I thought you said you didn't feel a spark between the two of us.

btw the other guy isn't Ben, who while my type isn't really someone I could date. his communicative style is...unusual.

I don't think there's a spark between you and Neil. But maybe I didn't hang out with y'all enough, or maybe he comes out more (haha) when dancing or when he gets to know you better.

He seems like a really cool guy, and someone who you might want to keep as a friend, which is hard to do post-dating, just to keep in mind.

hm, cant you casually date guy A without being in a definitive relationship? say something like you dont feel ready to commit yet but youd really like to get to know him better. that way you can figure out whats going on with guy B and his hotness.
