I wrote this piece Thursday, on the back of my Spanish homework. For someone who hasn't done jack in over three months, I find that I'm in love with this one. I don't know how this ever happened, or what I even did.

The girl named Nao once found a frog prince in her dreams. The prince had no markings of royalty--nothing to set him apart, really--but she would know it was him just as she would know by the pluming of her russet hair that she was underwater, bubbles drifting upward. Beneath his amphibious texture he was boy on the cusp of man... handsome and arrogant and helplessly beautiful. Nao salvages all that she can of his person, but it is never enough. Bubbles run out and walls close inward, a transformation incomplete--
"Nao," Hisashi whispers, and kisses her awake.
