Isobel & I went out for lunch with Katy yesterday. We had planned to go to the local Italian place, but apparently they're closed on Tuesdays (?!?) so we ended up at the Country Store. Isobel & I have sampled their ice creams & Dr Seuss books a few times, but I'd never gone there for a meal before. They didn't have much veggie-friendly food, so I ended up with a turkey sandwich--and was delighted to receive a slab of real carved turkey on fresh, homemade bread. Yum. Good food & great company. Definitely a Must Do Again.

I also picked up a piggy bank for Isobel whilst we were there & this morning I showed her how to feed it. She now has more money in her piggy bank ($2) than I have in my purse ($0.) So it begins...

It's hard to believe that Easter is this weekend. Where does the time go? I'm really looking forward to colouring eggs with my daughter, and kind of excited about maybe getting a visit from the Easter Bunny in our own home. It's going to be a busy day though, with lunch at Nanny's & second lunch at Grandma Weeze's, but it's nice-busy in the way that Christmas isn't. Should be fun.

And it's a beautiful day here, so I'm going to try to get out for a walk before work. Isobel is snoozing quite happily, natch, but I may go turn the shower on & see how serious she is about that nap.
