My stepsister has decided to move out to Edmonton, AB and is leaving on August 5th. I'm supposed to give her a ride to the airport, and along with this request she hit me with "I have never seen Toronto .... could you please take me there?". Sigh. So I call my backup and ask to have August 4th off.
Now this is like 3 weeks away, and generally the girl has asked for plenty of notice (at least two weeks). So I call her today expecting no problems, and instead I get greeted with "well that's pretty far away, I don't think I can commit this early...".
What.The.Fuck
I guess it pisses me off that we don't have better coverage. F. is taking next week off so she's covering for that entire week, so now it's like she has too many hours so she's going to say no to all the other requests. I want ONE DAY. She told me she could cover the Friday, but like that's not what I need. The whole point of vacation time is to take it when you want, not when it's convenient for your backup.
