So, there's this one store that I cover shifts at pretty frequently. And I hadn't really thought about it till this evening, but nearly every time I work there, I get hit on in some sort of bizare, not exactly flattering fashion. It's actually happened three times.
The first - Weird, older guy came in, bought coffee, hung out. Left a note on the table complimenting me, (and it was definitely me from the description) on my beauty and demeanor. Several months later, recognized me when I covered another shift, and was way too excited about it.
The second - I go in to pick up my tips. A sketchy guy in line behind me tries to draw me into conversation by say "Is this were all the cool kids hang out?!" and then exclaimed "Daaammmnn you are attractive!" when I turned around. The entire time I was trying to get my tips from Heather, he kept interrupting, and insisting that whatever I was getting, he wanted to pay for. And then chastised me for not paying attention when he was trying to talk to me. When Heather asked him what he wanted, I ran to my car covert-like.
The third (today) - I am bringing in furniture. A guy on something, (I'm not sure what) with a STUFFED ANIMAL clipped to his belt stops dead, and then tells me I am a Venusian-like goddess. Introduces himself, gets my name, and then tries to kiss my hand. I withdraw it. He finally leaves, shouting endearments behind him as to my level of hotness (extreme) and his level of happiness to have met me (also extreme).
Yeeeaaaah.
What is also kind of silly is that I've never felt very attractive when I've worked at these stores. I've never worn makeup there, and my work clothes are pretty frumpy.
