Holy Addiction
Christmas was good. We had dinner at my aunt's house, first time we haven't had it here at home in probably a decade. They did good, made a nice rack of beef, I forget what it was exactly. Saw all the family, hung around, fell asleep with a glass in my hand and poured water all over my nuts. It was good.
I ended up getting a new case for my computer, along with a water cooling setup. I'm such a geek. I haven't had a crash since I spent 4 hours yesterday changing cases and adding the cooling. Runs great, and a thousand times quieter. Whew. Now it stays quiet and glows blue. Kinda cool.
Also got a Skyfi 2 XM radio and car adapter, The Complete Far Side, some clothes, Lindt chocolates, stuff for the cruise, and some gift certificates. Pretty good.
My parents loved the Tivo. My father read the book in an hour and has been messing around with it for 2 days straight. I think he's almost ready to start humping it.
Sunday I helped my cousin move into Brooklyn. We were going to take his friend's father's flatbed truck, but it snowed all morning so the truck was soaked. Ended up hitching the guy's motorcycle trailer to my jeep and driving it in. Worked out pretty well, got all his big stuff in one trip. That fucking TV was insane to carry up a flight of stairs. Moved him in, hung around, had some really good Chinese from down the block, drank a little, and then came home. It had just started flurrying again in the city, and the island was getting hit hard. Took me 3 hours to get from Bay Ridge back to my house. I dont think I broke 30mph once on the LIE. Tons of accidents, 4 inches of snow everywhere, and not a plow in sight, all at 11pm on Sunday night. Stupid town and their dumb plows.
Yesterday I was a waste of life. Spent 4 hours in the morning setting up my new computer since I didn't feel like driving through the snow to get to the gym. Set it all up and then played World of Warcraft for like 10 hours straight. I didn't eat until around 7pm, and then I realized I hadn't showered. Since Christmas. Oops. I could almost smell the grundel sweat. I did bring my paladin up to level 20 though, so I kick ass.
Got a call from the recycling job. They never cut my last check, "on accident", so they cut it and mailed it today. Should get here in a few days, which is nice. Plus I'll get direct deposit from the last job on Friday. So a week off, with pay, plus two other pay checks. I love it. Even if I did drop into the negative over the weekend because someone cashed a $430 check too early.
I love going to the gym when it's empty. I was in and out in an hour and 20 minutes. Nice.
OK, I need to finally shower for the first time in a few days. At least now I know how girls feel. Gah. Then back to WoW until other people are around to go out with. Sweet.
