Some very prominent models and several of the more exotic and experimental kind are starting to hone in big time on a solid tropical cyclone forming within the next couple of days. Things could be getting interesting. I'm not a model monger personally, but have a great deal of respect for them in general, and take particular note when several models begin repeatedly, almost agonizingly, harping on development.
The bulk of the model consensus suggests one solid storm, although there is some play to suggest possibly two storms over the course of the next two weeks, or perhaps even one very significant tropical cyclone.
I have already honed in on some key suspect areas, myself, in response. Maybe a new Invest by Wednesday? Could get a little interesting, although at this time upper-level winds are generally anything but favorable, and to add more weirdness to the models' claims of clairvoyance, several even try to build something of a subtropical depression off the coast of central California this week, as well. Now wouldn't that be curious if verified.
So, perhaps some things to keep in mind around :50 Past over the course of the next couple days...
