With yet another Pacific TC that might impact the Baja, and perhaps even the southwest, next week, the current El Niño signals only become more and more pronounced. Recent flooding rains in the southern states, in large part care of the enhanced southern branch of the jet stream and enhanced Pacific moisture (with some of that moisture from yet even other TCs which formed in that basin), are yet more recent examples of how the current El Niño is affecting the climate on a very broad scale.
