Friday of the first week back after vacation. It's been a long week even though I had Monday off. Getting back into the routine and all that, and now it's time to settle down and wait. We're hoping to find out the results of G.'s medical test in a couple of weeks and then we can start thinking about time frames. Because the current wait time is so long for the PR application out of London, the consultant said he could come on a visitor visa and get it extended for 2 years. He can then get a health card for the doctor and we can see about drug coverage. I need to do the math, though. The temporary coverage isn't cheap because he's diabetic and it could be cheaper just to pay for the meds outright. Once he has the PR status, I can put him on my Blue Cross through work. But the other thing is that the temporary coverage would also include some dental, as well as things like glasses etc.
I've finally got my photos sorted, from the various things we did. Here's links to a few albums, which pretty much just contain the best of the photos, not the full whack.
Blackpool including the illuminations (has a few photos at the end from another trip there 10 years ago)
Housesteads Roman Fort which is one of the sites on Hadrian's Wall
Lindisfarne, the Castle, Priory ruins and St. Mary's Church on the Holy Isle off the northeast Coast of England
Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Alnwick exterior has been used in the first couple of Harry Potter movies and the interior of the castle as well as exterior in the recent Downton Abbey 2014 Christmas episode, though no photos were allowed inside.
Next I have to finish and then sort out the travelogue to put online and some highlights on Wordpress.
