Yultide 2009!
Dear Yuletide Goat/Santa,
This is my first year participating and I am tres excited. I would like to start by saying how happy I am that YOU are my writer and so appreciative that you have taken this task on!
Let’s get the general stuff out of the way.
General About Me
I don't update most of my blog-ness anymore, but feel free to look over this journal, my blogspot, or my tumblr if you're interested in knowing more about me.
Squicks
Although I don’t think it’ll be a problem with the fandoms I’ve picked, I’m not too keen on M-Preg or incest. I don’t really enjoy 2nd person fics. I’m not too big into the smut without plot, but if it helps the story, feel free to write it. While I’m generally a het girl, I don’t mind in-character slash.
Squees
I love romance, angst, drama, snark, hilarity, grammar, great use of the ensemble (supporting characters ftw!), and most of all, in-character stories. Make me cry, make me laugh, make me sigh, make me clap my hands in glee...I embrace all!
Specific Fandoms
All of these are just general suggestions of things that I’m attracted to in the shows/books. I want you to have a great time writing, so if there is something else that you’re drawn to in the fandom, feel free to explore it. I love them all in every bit of their glory.

Being Erica
I heart this show too much. Erica is such a grounded character and her life is so well-developed in every aspect. The problems she runs into are very realistic. I also adore science fiction, AUs, and what-ifs, so it fits in well there too.
What I'd Like
I love this show to pieces and because of this, I’m pretty open to anything: any character, any rating. Erica/Ethan/Kai love triangle? Erica/Sam/Josh blow up? Erica/Jenny/Judith/Katie high school adventures? Dr. Tom/His Daughter drama? Erica/Cassidy reunion? Erica/Leo angst? You write it, I shall swoon over it! My only real request would to be to include therapy or time travel in some way (if it fits) in actuality, reference, or in flashback.
What I Don't Want
Dr. Tom/Erica romance or UST in any way. He’s too father figure for me.

Meg Cabot - The Princess Diaries
One of my favorite book series of all time. I love Mia’s insecurities and dorky obsessions and love of writing. I love all of her misadventures. I love Tina and Boris. The only thing I don’t like is Book 10, which leads me to…
What I'd Like
A snippet of what happened between Books 9 and 10 or re-do to the end of Book 10. I don’t care if Mia ends up with JP or Michael (I honestly love them both), but I want an honest love triangle with feelings and angst and confusion. I want to believe Mia’s making the choice because she genuinely loves one more than the other, not because one of them is a douchebag (really, Meg? JP slept with Lilly and called the paparazzi all the time and in a nanosecond fell for his lead actress? Really?) and the other is a robotic god (I mean, Michael’s smart and everything, but seriously?). It can be angsty, it can be sweet, it can be a throw down. As long as I feel as conflicted as Mia, I’ll consider it a job well-done.
What I Don't Want
Overt toolishness by anyone.

Sonny with a Chance
This is probably the first Disney show I’ve been excited about since Phil of the Future. I love the well-defined supporting cast and the ease of humor that’s snarky but never really mean. It’s just a charming show with a lot of heart.
What I'd Like
I’d really like a fic about Mackenzie Falls: the show, the actors, their side of their relationship with the So Random! cast. I am a WB/CW addict (Buffy+Angel, Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Smallville, the list is endless) and so the various alluded storylines on the Falls are my favorite (I heart Portlyn and all her conniving, dull-witted potential). Plus I love Chad. You can use the show “canon” or use the Mackenzie Falls webisode canon or make up your own storyline. Bonus points Sonny/Chad.
What I Don't Want
Please keep any romancin’ of our teen and tween darlings PG-13 and under.

Jasper Fforde - Thursday Next Series
Okay, confession time. I’ve only read The Eyre Affair this past week (and loved it, hence the requesting), so anything I know about the rest of the series outside of Wikipedia is dim. HOWEVER, I will be done with the books by the time Yuletide is over, so feel free to write with those in mind.
What I'd Like
Thursday/Bowden or Thursday/Spike. That boy Bowden makes such a declaration and it’s never realized. And then Spike is just…hot. Yeah, yeah, it’s supposed to follow the plot of Jane Eyre. So what? Will also take gen partner adventures as well.
What I Don't Want
Too much Landen.
