I miss coming home and expecting a phone call. I miss the conversation. It makes for very lonely nights sometimes. But it's something i'm going to have to deal with. Besides I got a show to put together and they're all counting on me not to screw it up. Its only a week out, and I still havent' done runs in 3 or 1. I did a semi run in 1 and it was a disaster, they threw me in with out a true walk through. Being blind it was awful and embarrassing. It's so frustrating right now. I just want to keep running it unti I get it right, but they are so focused on that stupid parrot not working right that we can't run while they are working on his audio. He is going to malfunction so much, we all already see it. He's cute as hell, but he also upstages the puppets big time. I'm cast in 3 and yet to have a run but 5 is now so easy it's like I always knew this part. I'll be doing that in the executive run on Sunday. I kind of made that track what it is. Not so much blocking, but the traffic patterns that happen below. It was my job to figure out the best way to do it fix problems and so on. I'm king of proud of that. We are still tweeking things on that though, and it's hard having four casts and having two of them always seperated and having the two we are with never mixed and learn from each other. we are still finessing trafic patterns, because honestly, it's one big cluster fuck. you got 9 puppets 6 puppeteers. two tecks and a treasure chest. And one puppet you wear that your almost completely blind. It's crazy. It's the best scene in the show, with props a hell of a lot of underscore. in fact there really isn't' a moment there is no underscore, and there are scenes with in the scene. It make the rest of the show look like shit. We are tweaking the visual effects. We have a new lighting director who is relighting the show. The big jet race will be projected on the wall sas always but the animated sky from the book page will be extended onto the proscenium walls. Looks awesome. And we will finally have the night scene at the end that the Disneyland version has. No over bright white lights. Turns out our last lighting designer was color blind, so our new show will have a wider arrange of colors. And hearing the guy talking and working, he's having a blast doing this. I like the sound of that. Its a lot of work to have just one scene changed, but in fact we are really giving the stage an overhaul. We added more moving lights. new projection scrims and we now have sourced sound, which makes it very interesting in the pit. but easier to find your lines in a walla. So essentially it's been a rough and hard month, but i'm trying to stay positive and not let things get to me. They do sometimes, but soon things will be back on a normal schedule. perhaps that will help set me at ease. I've not been getting much sleep, a lot on my mind to digest. I just have to stay up and go until my body is just to exhasted to continue. which it is now.
