Summary: Kame is out enjoying the nice weather for once when the hail starts coming down hard. When he seeks shelter he finds someone he thought was the last person he would ever run into again after they had gone separate ways years ago.
Notes: Since it's Kame's 29th birthday today I decided I had to post something. (No matter how awful it turns out to be...) I would like to keep posting short stories all featuring Kame during the coming week as well. Mind you, I haven't got much time to write so they will all be fairly short but I hope it will be worth it anyway if you read them.
Gazebo encounters
Kazuya sat on a bench in a park, drinking in the sunlight. It was still only February so it was slightly cold outside still. Yet he head decided to go out for a bit and enjoy the sunshine since it was not often the sun deigned to show itself this time of year. Last week had certainly felt like the sun would never appear again from behind the thick, dark and rainy clouds.
So now that Kazuya had a short break in between the filming of Second Love and his radio show he took the chance to go to a park for a bit. However, it seemed like he was the only one who had the that thought as not many others were in the park. Kazuya just enjoyed it more for that reason though as that meant there was less of a chance of a fan to interrupt his well-deserved time in the sun.
As soon as he had really made himself at home on the bench and started to warm up slightly a few dark clouds came rolling in. With no warning hail started coming down heavily. Kazuya cursed, he had never thought his enjoyment would be interrupted in such a way. He quickly stood up from the bench and started sprinting toward a gazebo. It was the best cover he could find that was even remotely close and could provide some shelter.
When he reached the gazebo he was already hurting a bit from the hail that had hit him. He was also slight wet in odd patches after his running. The hail changed into rain as soon as Kazuya was inside the building. He sighed, that was just his luck. Even if the hail had stopped as abruptly as it started it didn't look like the rain would let up anytime soon.
Kazuya turned around inside, looking for a place to sit. It was cosier than he had expected inside, with a few plush sofas and armchairs competing for space inside. It wasn’t particularly large and he wondered for a second how all the furniture had been fitted in there. The gazebo was octagonal with cute little windows in every direction. Kazuya could imagine it was a very nice view to have of the park outside during the summer. Not that it was too bad at the moment though since the rain contributed to a more ambient feeling Kazuya admitted to himself.
Just as he had had his fill looking he decided to sit down in the nearest armchair. He didn’t expect the armchair to feel as strangely hard and soft in places as it did though. It only took him a sliver of a second to realise that he had just tried to take a seat on top of another person. Kazuya quickly shot up again and turned around with an apology ready on his tongue. He could already feel a blush coming from the faux-pas he just committed.
The apology quickly disappeared from his mind when he caught sight of the man. His heart sped up when he saw how handsome the man lounging in the chair was. It had been a while since he had come across someone as attractive as this man with his dark brown hair and clear facial lines with just a hint of some stubble and the lean muscles that could be detected under the loose clothing. Kazuya drank in the sight of the man as if he had been dying of thirst in a desert and only now found an oasis at long last.
While Kazuya was studying the man he slowly blinked his eyes open. He groggily stretched a bit and opened his mouth when he caught sight of Kazuya. “Who are you? What are you doing here? Why did you wake me up?” He seemed to wake up along with the questions he asked and soon he spotted the bright-red face Kazuya was sporting at the moment. Without giving Kazuya a chance to reply to any of his questions he quickly followed them up with a new one. “Why are you blushing? Oh, you just tried to sit on me didn’t you?” With the last question a beautiful grin came to rest on the handsome man’s face. Kazuya could feel his cheeks heating up even more thanks to the stare trained on him.
To be continued tomorrow I promise. If anyone has not guessed it yet, the man Kazuya just tried to sit on is Jin. See you soon *wave*
