Hey all, only a couple of things happened worth reporting this week. First off my back is still hurting its actually my lower back and left leg. I went to the dr. who is sending me to physical therapy. Seeing a chyro would probably be the better option but since that's not covered by medicaid I get PT instead. Her thinking is that because I was walking so woierdly after hurting my foot that I just sort of pulled things out of balance. Its really annoying to have to change position so often and to have it hurt to do so. I had therapy Thursday which mainly consisted of me talking about the job situation and feeling muddled about that. I spent Thursday afternoon and night at my parents because they were cutting trees here. Fortunately I missed most of it what with therapy and then leaving right away or almost right away to go to Mason County. the time out there was relaxing and I have another podcast of an island walk to put up. I talk about plans for the podcasts, and flowers, and birds, and well you'll just have to listen. I will of course let you know when its' up. today I atttended the Guide Dog Users of Wa Spring Fling. We had several presentations. One was on how breed stock dogs are chosen. it was mostly common sense but there was a bit of interesting genetic discussion. Then we had a panel of puppyraisers. I didn't learn anything new there. the last presentation was on the stages of training. Unfortunately only Guide Dogs for the blind was represented. That wasn't said because GDB is bad only that it would've been awesome to hear from other schools as well. The lady from GDB did great though she went through week by week and discussed what the dogs are taught. It was fascinating and guess what? I have permission to podcast it. I wasn't able to get permission from the puppyraiser panel as they left before I could ask, but Melinda's was the best anyway. I have to do a bit of editing as other people may not want there voices podcast grin. Ellie did very well. She was a bit goofy going in and out the door what with all the other dogs, but she did great guiding in the hotel. She behaved well in the restraunt where we ate dinner. We stopped at petstore so Dan could buy some stuff. Ellie was um it was a petstore though she did fairly well a couple of clearance errors and one where i got on her and it was totally my fault as there was no way to get around the mass of shooping carts so she stopped and sniffed until it opened up. I however thought she was just sniffing. And got on her when she wouldn't go around. She was very good in the meeting though. I got to pet the cutest 2 month old guide dogs of the desert pup! Oh my gosh Tammany was just clawing at the back of my chair and scared the tar out of me! Anyway, nothing else to say for this week. see u.
