women's retreat update

Hey all, From Friday to early this afternoon I attended the adventure of Faith women's retreat at Island Lake Christian camp. The facilities were really nice. the camp sounds really nice although I didn't get out to much exploring. We had 5 sessions the first was just an overview of the weekend theme loving yourself the way God loves you. The second was on dealing with depression. This was an OK session. The third on dealing with lonliness I found the most frustrating as the answer was simply to draw close to God. This is great and improtant but certainly not all of it. The fourth session was on speeritual goal setting. I set some goals for myself. i am keeping that private though a coupd of you will be recieving an email from me asking for some acountability. The final session was on living a joyfilled life. This was a really good topic. The speeker had some physical chalenges so was speeking from personal experience. I didn't come away from this one with any new insight just nice to hear a realistic aproach. After each speeker we split in to small groups the same people each time and went over discussion questions. These were usually thought provoking. We had free time in the evenings and for a couple of hour on Saturday afternoon. Ellie did marvelously there wasn't a whole lot of guiding just back and forth from the diningroom LOL, but she handled that well. She was good through all the sessions. I took her out of harness and just let her lay beside me. She got to have several off leash run times around the lake and woods. And no she did not go for a swim! I ate way to many sweets this weekend. Well, I'll get back on the slimfast diet in the morning LOL. Overall, this was a good experience. I really liked how we had to sit at meals. Each meal we drew a number and had to sit at the corisponding table. There were 45 women there, so you got to meet a lot of peopple. I did a short podcast which I'll need to put together and then I will uplodad. Its not as good as I would've liked but it works. And speeking of podcasts, my podcasts page is now working so go check that out. demanding aren't I LOL. Now to work on my email lists page. Anyone discovered any new and exciting email lists or forums lately? good night i'm off to take a hot shower. I'm having a lot of back pain. it begins in my lower back and shoots down in to my legs I can't keep any position for long not counting walking, but changing positions is horribly painful. I can't get my legs to copperative when i stand up. i'll be seeing the Dr. who was btw at the retreat, soon. Ug! i know she will want to do anotjher MRI. its a good thing I wasn't planning to ride anytime soon. S does not want me to bring ellie anymore due to her dogs immune system being so low due to her illness. So I am thinking about finding another place to ride. A theraputic riding center opened near me about ay ear ago, but being happy where i was I didn't call them. However I will do that this week. The weather is terrific and I may schedule a trail ride for the month of May. Oh and i heard back from the obedience instructor who said he would he thought it would work fine for me to bring ellie to the rally class. like a dork I didn't ask about prices so I need to call him back. He ended up on the topic of what classes they offer and stuff and i just spaced. Thy offer a preagilityy class which looked like fun, but with my orietation issues would probably be to hard for me! wow, I had no clue they had chicken shows. I'm watching a chicken compitition just starting on animal planit. god that's funny! What on earth would you do at a chicken show. Which chicken has the best bock! LOL! Well, I'm off to learn about chicken showing. You know there's nothing on tv when Shelly watches something like this LOL.
