its been a year

Its been a year today. One year since I created this live journal. This is the longest I've kept an online journal going. I've enjoyed keeping a record of my life here. At first I wasn't going to publicize it, but I'm glad I did as I made many wonderful friends! It was a year ago yesterday that my parents took my first guide dog Radar and transfirred him back to his raisers in Texas. As you can probably understand, its been an emotional weekend. The emotions would wash over me in waves and then receed for a while. Sadness, guilt, anger, and yes peace. They were not nearly as intense as I thought they would be. I cryed some, but felt it went much better than I had thought it would. I wish there was a end to it. Like I could say its been a year now I'll never miss him or wish it was him instead of Ellie, but I know that won't happen though. I'm getting better though. This weekend despite its emotions was good. I sang at a good Friday Service. It was moving and peaceful. We sounded really really good in the 3 songs we did. The other choirs that sang were good as well. Saturday I attended a drama at CLC which portray the crucification and resurection. It was emotional. This morning was of course Easter. We sang again and the music was awesome. It was finally not raining so Ellie and I got out for a walk. We did the Pondarosa route. She was slow and careful when she needed to be, and got up to a good pace when she could. Its the first time we've done sidewalk work with obstacles since I fell although this was not the route I fell on. I wanted to do a quiter route today. Anyway, I was pleased with the way she worked. and there was only a few attempts at sniffing. I spent most of the day watching Little People Big World. This a show I discovered this week. it follows a family where the parents are dwarfs around 4 feet tall. they have 3 children and I think 2 of them are dwarfs including twins where one is big and one small. if anyone has vusually seen the show I'd love a description of what other charicuristics of dwafism they dispaly. Its kind of fun to think there are people smaller than my 4-8 hight. They showed several weeks worth of the show today. Then tonight they are showing a program on the Duggers the family with 16 children, so I'll be watching that. I've been following that family for a long time. I Oh forgot to mention that after the Good Friday service the family I got a ride from took me back to there house for dinner. It was yummy stew, cornbread and Timtam bars. Ellie had fun chasing a ball up and down the hall! My foot is much better. Though it will still cramp from my littlest toe up through my ankle if I use it to much. Its on the mend though. I also spent time this weekend putting together my page of favorite podcasts. I uploaded it but for some stupid reason its not displaying right, so I tried fixing the index and that didn't help either gotta let the cat in. Ok, she's in brrrrrr! her paws are cold! It is very cold out there! I wore my heavy coat on my walk. It feels like winter. anyway, Anyway, I then treid to fix the index page, but then it still wasn't displaying, so I'll have to keep working on it. I didn't feel like messing with it today. I did add a few new links to my page though. Did I mention that H sent me snickerdoodles and dryed fruit in the mail. That was a pleasant surprise! I finished a wonderful book which I'll be writing a review of in my next entry I would put it here but this one is getting a bit long. write soon. Shelly
