last couple days
thought I'd post a quick entry while I'm waiting to watch a program on poodles on TV.
Friday was a long day. I saw Dr. E. early in the morning.
My Dr. is sending me to physical therapy for my shoulder and upper back. She's also got me on a light pain med. I'm bummed about needing to go back to therapy. I feel like I was just finishing there even though it has been over a year ago. I have my evaluation appointment on Wednesday. The pain comes and goes and I haven't needed to take many of the pain meds. I sometimes feel that I don't need the therapy, but then it'll hurt a lot like right now and I start to think its a good thing to do.
B came in the afternoon to work on the video. This vid is going to a guide dog school where a trainer will assess it and give an opinion on whether or not its worth even applyingIt will also be sent to southeastern. . So, we did a lot of walking. We went down the sidewalks where I lined up wrong on a crossing, and B had to help me, but otherwise went fine. Showed them part of the pine loop and walked over to the shopping center. Ellie got a few verbal and one leash correction for sniffing.. The leash correction was harder than it needed to be It was the level I normally have to give to stop her from sniffing, but she'd been so responsive that day I should've known to be lighter with her. Its been 5 years almost and I still make mistakes. But I was please with Ellie handling all that walking and stopping. We would stop so B could get head to film or to wait for him to catch up. They wanted footage from all angles. Also on the vid we show the golf course, but don't walk there because of the mud. We also show my apartment and out in back where we relieve and do play walks. It is about twenty mins long. We came back hung out and edited the thing. Between hanging and working several hours past and we decided we were hungry so it was off to the pancake house for dinner wherei h ad an omelet and pancakes. I was very full. The rest of the night and morning was more talking and editing. it was really really nice of B to come all the way up here to help with htis project and it was really great to see him.
Later that day Dave and Hayley came over for about an hour. Dave had spoken at the PCB meeting and came by on his way home. They gave me a key chain clock for my birthday.
Between Dave and B they fixed my goldwave recording problem! I'm so excited to be able to record music again. Although for some reason it didn't work today when trying to record crossroads.
Today has been a tough day emotionally. I don't suppose the ond off pain has helped, but mostly I've just been emotional about Ellie.
What is up with TLC and all the cake shows! So dumb! though I'm sure all the people who love them are thinking a poodle show is just as stupid. Anyway guess I'll go.
