Twice in a Lifetime

Once upon a time there was a young girl. She was lucky enough to be deeply loved by a young guy. As this young girl grew older, her curiosity about the world got the better of her, and the young guy let her go so she could experience the world on her own terms.

Off she went into the wild blue yonder. As she learned, grew, and experienced life, she kept looking for that great love that people talk about. The soul mate. The 'one'. She kept her eyes open and watched and waited patiently for him to appear. She dated different people hoping that they were the one, but they never turned out to be quite the one she wanted. Sure, they were wonderful people too, but just not the one for her. They didn't have that intense, deep, trusting love that enfolded her in it's arms and held her safe and happy within, and yet still allowed her the freedom to grow and blossom.

One day, after many many years of searching, and never finding him, she stopped looking. She started looking inwards, to herself. She started learning about how she thought, what she thought, how she viewed things, what she wanted, what she didn't want, and how to achieve the things she did want in her life. She learned about her passions, her weaknesses, she learned how to control the wild emotions which tore her to shreds in her youth. She learned how to communicate effectively and concisely.

After 5 years without having a personal significant other in her life, she realized something. She really missed the guy who treated her so well, loved her so deeply, respected her so much. She really missed having him in her life. She had to see if he was still there. She had to find out if he still cared about her. She had to contact the guy.

She reached out and found him, and contacted him. 16 years later. They talked, and indeed, he was still there. Had been the whole time. Waiting for her to open her eyes to the truth standing before her. He still loved her. He never stopped loving her. She realized that she DID already have that great love in her life. She realized that all this time, she had been searching for something she already had once in her life. She only need open her heart.

Lucky for her, he was waiting, and still willing to love her strongly and deeply, and was ready to accept her strong and deep love in return. Lucky for her. Lucky for him too, he was getting tired of waiting for her to see.

And they lived happily ever after.

The Beginning!

darren, love
