Zack pulled me off the bus, and pushed me up against the side. I took most of the force on my left shoulder, before sliding down so I was sitting on the ground.I was still fuming, and I knew he was just trying to help, but all I wanted to do is go back inside and rip Brandi's hair out. I ran my hands through my hair, before grabbing a fistful and pulling it hard.
"Jack?" Zack said, "Are you alright?"
I didn't answer, I didn't know if I was alright or not. I trusted Alex, but something about what happened put me on edge. I breathed in deep, and tried to call myself. I released my hair, and looked back up at Zack.
"You okay?" he asked, kneeling down in front of me.
"I guess," I said.
"You know Alex didn't kiss her."
"I know that," I sighed, "something is just making me uneasy."
"It'll be alright," Zack said, "but hey, look at the positive. That bitch Brandi is out of our lives, forever."
A smile spread across my face, "Damn, it's about time. We should throw a party."
"What?" Zack laughed.
"I'm serious! I'm ready to celebrate her getting the fuck out of my life."
"Alright," Zack said, still chuckling, "lets go buy some booze."

I threw back another shot, before stumbling over to my boyfriend. The music was blaring, and our bus was packed full of bodies. I wrapped my arms around Alex's neck pressing a sloppy kiss to the side of his face. He raised an eyebrow at me before wiping the side of his face with the sleeve of his hoodie.
"Hey baby," I slurred.
"Hey."
"Alex, I have something very important to tell you," I said looking at him, which a serious expression on my face.
"What's that?" he asked.
"I'm a mermaid."
"What?" he laughed.
"I'm serious! Don't laugh at me."
"Jack, you can't be a mermaid. I've seen you in water, and you have no fin. Also you're a boy."
"That's what you think!"
"You'd have to be a merman."
"I'm not a merman, I'm a mermaid! I grow boobs, and my hair gets longer. You've never seen it because I put a spell on you so you wouldn't know."
He laughed, before kissing me, "Whatever you say baby."
"Want to have freaky, human/mermaid sex?"
"No," he said making a face.
"Why?!"
"Mermaids don't have gentiles."
"So?"
"How much have you had to drink?" he asked.
"I don't know, but who cares it's a fucking celebration."
I pulled away from Alex, and went to go find another drink. I poured myself a drink, and headed over to see what the others were doing. I hung out with Greico and Danny for awhile, laughing as the two of them fought over which pick up lines worked better when trying to pick up girls. After a while, Alex came over at sat down on my lap, turning his head to look at me. I pressed my lips to his hungrily, pulling his body closer to mine.
"Get a fucking room," Danny yelled.
"Gladly," I said, sliding Alex off my lap, before pulling him back to my bunk with me.
