So
paynesgrey and
quirkysmuse (who are actually two accounts for the same person) introduced me to Avatar: The Last Airbender. I've been watching to episodes on avatarchapters.org because I don't have Nickelodeon and I've seen all of Book 1 already. The last 3 episodes were awfully cute, so I had to write a fic. :P
Yeah so I've never put a fic up here before [well not a fanfic anyway] and I haven't written fanfiction in a while, so it's pretty cliche.
Title: One Last Kiss [aka no idea]
Rating: G or PG
Word Count: 648
Characters: Sokka/Princess Yue [Soy? :P]
Genre: Romance, Cheese
Warnings: AU, very cheesy, no spoilers if you know who the characters are
Notes: I've only seen up to the end of Book 1, so if it's awkward-sounding to those who've seen more then that's probably why.
Cold air whipped around Sokka’s face as he stared out onto the city from the ice bridge. Katara and Aang had both mastered waterbending and they were going to be leaving in the morning. They had both promised Aang they’d stay with him so he could learn earthbending and firebending, because he needed them as much as they needed him. After helping pack most of their things, Sokka had decided to take a walk and see the city without people for one last night. He wasn’t going anywhere in particular, but his feet had carried him to this bridge. It was the bridge where he had first met up with Princess Yue. It was their bridge.
He knew he wasn’t supposed to be glad that Hahn had died in the battle with the Fire Nation. He knew he wasn’t supposed to be glad about the fact that although Princess Yue had gotten other proposals of marriage, she had turned them down. He wasn’t supposed to be glad, but he was. Even though he knew that he would be traveling for too long to be with her, even though she may even accept a proposal or even fall in love with someone else while he’s gone, he managed to let the fact that she wasn’t engaged at the moment keep his spirits up.
“Sokka?” He heard a quiet, familiar voice from beside him and he turned slightly to look into those bright blue eyes he had fallen for. However, this time they weren’t a bright happy blue like they usually were. Instead they were dulled, and close to tears.
“Princess Yue.” He whispered back. She stepped closer and gave a small sad smile before looking out onto the city like he had been previously. Sokka studied her face. What was she thinking?
As if on cue, she spoke. “You know, when Hahn died I was sad. Even though I barely knew him, much less loved him, I was sad. Just the fact that I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with him and I couldn’t because he was dead, I guess.” He was leaving tomorrow and she was talking about Hahn? Sokka repressed a sigh. Girls were so confusing. He looked down at his hands and gripped the side of the bridge slightly.
“And now you’re leaving too.” Princess Yue continued, looking back at him. Sokka looked back at her. “I don’t know if I can bear it.” She finished, eyes glistening.
Sokka stepped closer, picking up his hands and taking hers in them before looking into her eyes. “I’ll come back. After this is all done, I’ll come back for you. That is… if you’ll wait that long.” He said, looking away in hesitation. Who was he kidding? No way would she wait so long for a peasant like him. She’d find some other man of high class or another warrior much better than he was, and fall in love and marry him instead. He’d return to a Queen with a husband and kids and everything.
He was woken from his thoughts by Princess Yue squeezing his hands lightly. Instinctively, he looked back at her. Although her eyes were still glistening with tears, there was a small smile on her face, and it wasn’t a sad one either. “I’ll wait for you, Sokka.” She spoke. “I’ll wait as long as it’ll take.” Sokka grinned, overcome with emotion. Before he could control himself, he had lowered his lips onto hers.
He could taste her tears as they fell. They were salty and she was sweet, and all this made shivers go up his spine, even though she was too warm to make him feel cold. She pulled away and turned to look up at the sky. Silently, he followed her gaze to see what she was looking at.
The full moon was high in the sky.

And now I know you're giving me up"

Aww, how cute.
So now I need to get started on my philosophy paper table thing. I have to write an essay comparing the ideas of two philosophers on similar subjects with my ideas on those subjects and the ideas of 'my elder' [an older person I know. My mom.] on those subjects as well. My philosophers are Simone de Beauvoir and Mahatma Gandhi. Feminist existentialist versus spiritual Indian man who ignored his wife. Interesting. My topics will definitely include views on women and religion, but I dunno what the last one would be. Probably ideas on speaking out. Simone de Beauvoir did this by writing while Mahatma Gandhi believed in nonviolence. [Because you can't write about those two without mentioning Beauvoir's feminism and Gandhi's nonviolence]
Also, I've created my profile the future of my character Virginia Lewis who in her future is Virginia Samuels [she gets married]. I was trying to choose a hero name for her and first chose The Scarlett Mistress [I wanted to use the word Scarlett since her looks are kinda based on Scarlett Johansson and her color is red] but then I realized that sounded like a whore name because it's like the term 'scarlet woman' which means whore. So then I changed it to "The Scarlett V" because she sometimes goes by V and besides Virginia is too conservative/innocent to pick a name that sounds like a whore's name. Hence the name Virginia. :P
Eep, I still hafta edit my fic on writing.com and draw a pic of Kiffy's charrie for our art trade on DA. The problem with that is not only do I have to do the philosopher's table, but also my math homework and the Elder Discussion Write-up. And my printer refuses to connect to my new laptop, which means no scanning, which means I can only draw it and photograph it with my camera. >.<
And on top of that I still hafta memorize the scrip and finish the dance for Goan Convention, plus there's SAT2 Bio and Lit next Saturday and AP tests after that and Auditions after that and a recital sometime in that time ...
And this is assuming I don't start working at the Bipolar Clinic before school ends.
Wow, I never realize how stressed I am // how much I have to do until I write posts like these.
