[If it weren't for his need to grab the mail, or bills to be specific, before retiring for the day, Sadiq probably would have left the package sitting until tomorrow. He could have stumbled over it then instead of now, where he so gracefully hit the opposite wall of his apartment building's hallway and straightened himself, flustered. He looked down with a scowl, and then blinked. A gift on his birthday? He'd be damned.
He knelt to pick the box up, testing it's weight before searching for a name. Of course he didn't have many friends around here, so he was more or less expecting a bomb from some nameless brat with a grudge. However, at the bottom was a signature from a guy that was no stranger, the handwriting neat and round (better than his, anyway). Gupta left him a present in the mail... It was nice, but unexpected. He wasn't sure if he should still be considering the possibility of a bomb.
Resigned, the man picked it up and walked back into his room to check over it's contents with an almost childlike curiosity, tearing apart the packaging tape with only the edge of his car keys. Four smaller packages inside, three of which he found to be full of similar assortments; Turkish Delight, and he couldn't help himself as he popped one of the sugar-powdered treats into his mouth, and savor the taste the homemade gelatin snack. Bliss, really, and he could only stop himself from feeling the urge to run over to the boy's house and envelope him in a hug. Unfortunately, the world of carefree ignorance only lasted as long as a single candy.
The last box was different. Two tickets the the Tatiana Baths. Iki? Two? One would have been perfect, where he could have spent a whole day washing his cares away. With two came implications, but after a moment's hesitation, the Turk grabbed his cell. He'd been wanting to... do something with Gupta for a few days now, but he wasn't sure if this was the right way to go about it.]
